P6 Graduation Tea Party 2010

I have attended three school graduation parties to date.

First one was in 2007. It was held at night in the cafe and kiddos were all dressed in their best. It was a noisy and messy affair then, and I didn't quite like it.

The second one was in 2009. It was held in the afternoon, right after school at 1.30pm, in the air-conditioned hall. Environment was very much more conducive than before and food was alright. But the only grouse among the kids was that they were not able to dress in their home clothes. Even today, I heard the same from Andrea. ("!)

The third one happened this afternoon. I think this was the best of all. Time was just right for the kiddos to get home to wash up and change (except those who stayed behind for rehearsals), and yet it won't end as late as in 2007 (ended around 9pm).

I find the food nice, proven by the fact that there was not much leftover.

There was also this "Resonance Man" who pushed a trashbin around the hall while emitting interesting sound effects. I was quite pleasantly amused when he sprayed water at the kiddos yet it sounded like the firing of a machine gun. Only if it was real... A lot of problems would have been solved. =|

Then there was this magician who went around wowing the kiddos with his magic tricks. I saw one. He bent a fork, which no one could bend or twist it with any amount of force, by simply swinging it in the air.

The balloon sculptoring also attracted a lot of kiddos to queue up for it. I had no idea why Gary was running around with one long tube of the balloon while throwing it at someone and shouting, "Last touch!" I also saw Joshua, Ryan Lai, Mitchel and Yu Kang "kink, kink, kiang, kiang" away with their 'swords'. ("!)

The photo booth is always a popular attraction in any events, even though it was $1 per shot. The irony, however, was that kiddos shy away from my camera even though I took it for free. ("!)

We also have 10 lucky draw winners, with Samantha being obviously the luckiest of all to walk away with the $299 digital camera. She likes to take photo and definitely deserves the top prize. Fion is also lucky to win a watch and Preston, a Billabong bag. =D The other seven winners are Mitchel, Cedric, Dorothy, Gabrielle, Joshua, Yu Kang & ShiHui.

We have three more school days to go before the curtain really closes for the year. Come on Monday! Let's go to a few locations in school to take class photos! All must take! (",)
