Happy Father's Day! =D

This coming Sunday, 20 Jun, is Father's Day. I have a video clip here related to family togetherness. It's touching and heartwarming.

The video was produced by Malaysia in 2006, and is surprisingly in Hokkien, instead of Cantonese. For those who don't understand, this is the scenario:

Four women are having their lunch in, I believe, an old folks home. Three of them are bragging about how capable their children are.

Woman 1 (Ah Hoon): Her children are all very busy with their work. Her daughter is a lawyer, while her son runs a business dealing with lingzhi, a medicinal fungi. He does business with the government, and has businesses in America and Hong Kong, and he even knows Andy Lau. Her son has also bought a house in Damansara, an up-scale and affluent residential estate.

Woman 2: Her son is a specialist in London, who earns £20k for each operation. He does two a day. (£1 = S$2.06, take £20000 x 2.06 to derive the equivalent SGD)

Woman 3: Her daughter works in a big and famous audit firm, and has some shares in it, but the woman doesn't know the name of the firm. Her daughter earns RM$450k annually. (S$1 = RM$2.33, take RM$450000/2.33 to derive the equivalent SGD)

Woman 4 (Eng): This is the humble and most fortunate one. When asked about her son, she said that he was good and was coming to pick her up. He will bring her along wherever he takes his family to.

A car then turns in, car-ful of her grandchildren and daughter-in-law. They have come to take her to Cameron.

We don't wait till Mother's Day or Father's Day to show that we care by buying them any present. This is not what they want.

Show it in your daily deeds, by being a caring and filial son or daughter. It's that simple, and the best gift to them. (",)

P.S. In Singapore, Father's Day is celebrated on the third Sunday of June.
